Mastercraft NXT22

Mastercraft Unveils the NXT22

April 16, 2015

Bigger NXT Model Ups Everything with MasterCraft’s Award-Winning Quality

VONORE, Tenn. (Apr. 15, 2015) – MasterCraft today set the new mark in the entry-level 22-footer category with its NXT22, a larger NXT boat that delivers MasterCraft quality and performance at more accessible prices for costconscious buyers.  Redefining the performance and features of an entry do-it-all crossover, the NXT22 is bigger, badder and was engineered from the hull-up to perform without compromise across all categories of towsports including wake, slalom and surf.

Building on the success of last year’s NXT20, the bigger, bolder NXT22 offers more on every level.  More room, more power, more ballast and more maneuverability, all together adding up to more fun with family and friends.  The NXT22 boasts an impressive hit list of highlights that literally blows the competition out of the water.

A roomier, classier party- Designed for those who like to make a head-turning entrance, the boat’s signature pickle-fork bow sets the stage for a spacious lounge complete with ergonomic seating and 14 cup holders, one for every passenger. Bucking the trend in entry-level boat interiors, the NXT22 interior is luxurious and durable, with premium finishes and materials like all MasterCraft boats including billet aluminum details, puncture resistant vinyl and carpeting on the entire liner of the boat.  Beyond the cabin feel, an amped up optional sound system rivals those found on other premium models.

More power and options on the water- MasterCraft’s attention to detail and premium operating features are readily apparent from the moment the driver first takes a seat at the helm.  The spacious hexagonal layout allows for wide open sightlines and the billet aluminum gauges provide an intuitive interface complete with a 4.3 inch color screen, the only boat in the category to include this as a stock option.  The NXT22 also utilizes Zero Off cruise control to regulate the boat’s speed within 100th of a second by incorporating data from satellites and the boat’s own GPS. The standard powerplant for the NXT22 is a 5.7L Ilmor Marine engine exclusively built for MasterCraft with the option to upgrade to a 6.2L capacity.  Built-in, higher quality rotocast hard tanks provide 1,200 pounds of ballast (option to upgrade to 2,000 pounds) allowing for custom-shaped pronounced wakes along with an optional center tab providing for ideal waterskiing conditions.  The optional NXT Surf System has been custom-machined for the NXT22 hull to produce perfectly edia contact: Eric Doyne // Dispatch 415.652.8452 // eric@dispatchco.com sculpted waves for wakesurfing. After a day on the water, the foldable tower allows for easy garage storage.

MasterCraft quality makes the difference.  As opposed to its competitors that simply slap their logo on a knockoff brand, MasterCraft’s NXT entry line of boats are built on the very same U.S.-based assembly lines that manufacture the company’s other award-winning, premium models such as the ProStar, Xstar and the surf-centric X23.  The only marine manufacturing facility on the planet to be awarded all three prestigious ISO certifications, MasterCraft stands behind all of its boats with the industry’s only bow-to-stern, five year factory warranty.  MasterCraft boats are easy to own and built to last. MasterCraft recently enlisted the help of the adrenaline-happy Godfrey Clan to put the NXT22 to the test on the waters of Orlando’s Lake Ronix.  Their antics included anything from hydroskimming motorcycles to the introduction of froginfested bounce house towing.  Check out their antics with the new NXT22 in today’s video from MasterCraft: https://youtu.be/R-OMJo67zBE. Easily recognizable given its bold, stylish lines and eye-popping color schemes, MasterCraft dealers will begin taking orders for the NXT22 immediately and consumers can begin configuring their “dream boat” at www.mastercraft.com.

NXT22 Specifications: Length: 22’ 0”/6.71 M Width Amidship: 98”/2.49 M; Interior Width: 87.25”/2.22 M Boat Weight: 4,200 LBS/1905 KG Fuel Capacity: 50 G/189 L Seating: 14 people Weight Capacity: 2312 LBS/1049 KG Draft: 28”/.71 M Hull: Vector Drive Color Options: Infinite
