From Afghanistan, to Austin, Codie epitomizes freedom, family, and fun. Senior airman Codie went on tour for 7 long months, to be welcomed back by professional wake surfer Ashley Kidd and an epic day of riding on Lake Austin. Ashley awarded Codie with her pro model Erie Wake surf board as well as a private lesson in the sport she has been crowned world champion. Besides his wife, Codie says the water is one of his main freedoms he missed while deployed.
America and Texas especially is a place of hope, progression, and patriotism, and so are we at Boarders Magazine, happily congratulating one of our heros returning from overseas protecting our freedoms and our waters. Coming home has it's challenges, but a day on the lake, like today, definitely makes the transition a little bit easier to handle. We thank you Codie and everyone who served past, present, and in the future!
