2016 marks the fourth year of the Supreme Wake Surf Championship and kicks off the World Series of Wake Surfing tour in the US. The event was held in Central Florida this year on the white sands of Sandy Hook Beach of Lake Weir thanks to local Supreme dealer Transition Watersports & Skylon. The weather was looking a little grim starting out the first day of the competition and luckily the rains held off long enough for the event to run and the competitors to throw down their runs. Since this is the first event coming out of the winter season, some of the riders like Minnesota native Trevor Grindland said "this was my first time back on board since September last year" because all the lakes in his area are still freezing cold!
Day 2 brought with it the sunshine and light winds to create perfect morning conditions for the riders. The pro division threw down everything they had in their bag of tricks to try and get a piece of the $12,000 pie that was awarded that evening. Congrats to all of the riders for coming out and making this event awesome! Check out the photo gallery below the podium spots.
