Synthetic Swell II Brings Wakesurfers To Kansas

Sharing is the theme behind this one-of-a-kind wakesurfing event

San Diego, CA – May 6, 2014 – February brought the first Synthetic Swell to So Cal and now it’s time to do it again in Hillsdale, Kansas this May. Synthetic Swell II is a demo day/festival/shred session that will bring a day of free wakesurfing to the Midwest.

Enjoy a day of wakesurfing and boating with others that share your passion for shredding a big wave behind the boat. The event will take place on Saturday, May 17 at the Jayhawk Marina on Hillsdale Lake. Organizers expect at least 5-6 boats participating and will accommodate up to 100 surfers throughout the day.

You and your crew can bring your boat and/or try out the wakesurfing experience behind other boat models. If you don’t have a boat, no problem! There will be plenty of sessions available for everyone. You don’t even need a board if you don’t have one because those will be provided as well. The idea is to share boats and boards so that everybody can try out whatever setup they’re interested in.

Synthetic Swell is not a money-making venture. The organizers are putting this together at their own expense and volunteers are bringing their boats and boards in at their own expense. There is no charge for anything, although a $10 donation for gas money to your boat driver is encouraged. In between the surfing fun will be games and contests and plenty of giveaways. There will be a pot luck BBQ lunch and dinner. The event will culminate with an awards ceremony following the dinner BBQ.

If you want to participate by bringing your boat or you just want to show up to surf, go to SynSwell.com to get registered and get all the details. Space is limited, so don’t delay.

Synthetic Swell is sponsored by WakeWorld, KC Watersports, Body Glove, Liquid Force, MasterCraft Boats, Straightline, Soulcraft, GoPro, Wake 9, Boarders Magazine, Alliance Wakesurf and more.
